Web Exponents speaker series
Earlier this year I started a speaker series at Google that I call Web Exponents. The word “exponents” is used in the context of “a person who actively supports or favors a cause”. I even have a tagline:Â raising web technology to a higher power. Classic.
I post about these talks on the Google Code Blog. I recommend you subscribe to that blog, but in case you don’t, I wanted to cross-post here to make sure people catch the great talk by Chris Anderson on CouchDB.
Other speakers in the Web Exponents speaker series include:
- John Resig: Drop-in JavaScript Performance
- Doug Crockford: JavaScript: The Good Parts
- Steve Souders: Life’s Too Short, Write Fast Code (part 2)
- Rob Campbell: Debugging and Testing the Web with Firebug
- Nicholas C. Zakas: Speed Up Your JavaScript
- PPK: The Open Web Goes Mobile
- Aza Raskin: Conversational Computing (Ubiquity & Jetpack)
Each blog post contains links to the video and slides for each talk. Keep your eye open for upcoming speakers in the next month or two.

Steve,
I was under the impression that Web Exponents was an event with all of these speakers talking in the same day, as far as I know these talks are hosted privately at Google but they are released publicly later.
Just let me know if you have a public calendar of the speaker series I can take a look at.
Regards,
Orlando.
